I know it had been dead,
And now I am here to revive it,
Just came back from BLAZE Camp 4 days ago,
The first day :
Reported at Tampines ITE Lifeskill Studio,
Did Icebreaker,
Human Bingo,
Then had leadership theory,
Chapter 1 : Developing a Personal Philosophy of Leadership,
This Chapter tells us about the characteristics of effective leadership,
and establish personal leadership philosophy based on self-awareness enhancement,
Leader such as Minister Mentor, Lee Kuan Yew,
Singapore first President, Mr Yusof Bin Ishak,
Former Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr S.Rajaratnam,
Founder of Lee Foundation, Lee Kong Chian,
Secretary-General, Mr Kofi Annan,
And not to forget, Mother Theresa,
Every person I've mention here,
Have each unique qualities,
As for Minister Mentor, Lee Kuan Yew,
His Leadership Philosophies are:
Able and honesty make a good upright leader,
Leaders must be tough-minded,
Corruption is not the way,
Determination breeds success,
A leader is aware and informed of our country's fundamental vulnerability,
Leaders are dedicated,
Our first President, Mr Yusof Bin Ishak,
His Leadership Philosophies are:
A leader has integrity,
Lead with high moral principles,
Always be steadfast,
A leader is honest,
Lead with dignity,
Be confident in everything you do,
Our Former Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr s.Rajaratnam,
His Leadership Philosophies are:
A leaders should be visionary,
United we stand,divided we fall,
A leader is righteous,
Always do the right thing, Not a popular things,
Nation above self,
A leader must be strong-willed,
Founder of Lee Foundation , Mr lee Kong Chian,
His Leadership Philosophies are:
Simplicity breeds humility,
Education is the key to success,
We do not owe people a living,
A leader is driven and energetic,
Always be generous and help the poor,
Never be afraid of failure,
Secretary-General, Mr Kofi Annan,
His Leadership Philosophies are:
Diplomacy not war,
Learn to listen to others,
Lead by example,
Lead with right values,
Leading by serving,
A leader has accountability,
And lastly, Not to forget Mother Theresa,
Her Philosophies are:
Others above self,
Leaders are faithful,
Give more, ask less,
Love one another,
Peace and not violence,
Help the poor.
For all of the leaders that I've mention above,
I admire there attitude and what they believe in,
All of them put others before self,
After the introduction of each leaders,
We were ask to do an activity,
Of which kind of leader are you,
Two theory, X and Y,
For people who fall under theory X,
-People are lazy, avoiding work
-Need to be supervised closely,
-Shirk responsibility,
-Lack of ambition,
-Value job security above other job related factors
For people who fall under theory Y,
-Work is satisfying and nature for workers,
-Freedom to let them work,
-People will seek out and accept responsibility,
-Creativity and seek opportunity to do creative work
And guess which theory i fall under :p .
The next activity was to choose five values,
Of all values,
I chose Faith,Dedication,Health,Knowledge and Success,
And at the end I chose dedication,
Reason is,
Dedication to me is important,without it,everything you do in the team or rather the team will fall within themselves,Thus by believing dedication,everyone is committed in their work.

Then we had lunch,
After lunch we move on to Chapter Two:
Understanding Ethical Leadership,
In this Chapter we learn about,
What are the element of ethical leadership,
Impact of ethical behavior has on effective leadership,
And Personal ethical priorities,
Definition of ethics: How we act or what we do,Our methods of functioning and how we apply our moral is our ethical behavior.Ethics are applications.
Definition of morals:A personal philosophy based on the ability to know right from the wrong.What we believe about right and wrong affects out thinking and shapes our character traits.
Hence,ethics are not moral. They outgrowth morality. Ethics represent actions based on a concept of right and wrong.

Then we when to Bukit Batok Home team NS for our camp,
When we arrive there,
The teachers say that they put 30 people per room,
We check in and for us, girls it's alright,
We prepare had dinner and when for treasure hunt,
When back from the HDB estate and had our sleep at around 1a.m.
Second day:
Had Breakfast competition,
Then our leaders get to wash our feet,
I know most of you will say will it's stink,
Or you will ask,
Why are your doing this,
This is just part of our Chapter 3:
Leading by Serving,
Or to rephrase it,Servant Leadership,
A servant-leader:
-Devotes himself to serve the people he leads by focusing on meetings their needs
-Develops employees to bring out the best in them
-Coaches others and encourages their self expression
-Facilitate personal growth in all who work with him
-Listens and build a sense of community
Qualities of great servant leader:
-Ability to listen and understand
-Ability to articulate a mission
-Ability to withdraw and reorient oneself
-Acceptance of and empathy with people and situation they encounter
-Ability to create and build caring individuals whose first obedience is to the welfare of other rather than own self-interest.
And to me a servant leader is to learn to serve first,not to learn to lead first.They put other's before self.What they do are not for recognition,but is the benefit of others who need help.
After that we had lunch,
And then our final theory:
Articulating a vision,
A theory where we learn to make a vision of what we believe in,
"Where there is no vision,the people perish"The book of Proverbs
We were discussing about our night performance,
Then our dinner,
Then the theme party,
We had our wonderful night,
Third day:
Had breakfast,
When to MOE Changi camp for rafting and kayaking,
Our group is the second group to complete,
Didn't go for kayaking,
Was resting for Thursday as I need to get my report =P
Break Camp,
When to KFC with Loewe my kor and Dan Rui my jie
We were joking and had dinner there,
Then when home at 8.30 p.m.
Thursday:
When to hospital,
Doctor suspect Kidney stone,
Arrange for CT Scan on Friday,
Yesterday:
When for Hui Shan Advanced Birthday party,
Going for Dinner,
Logging off~
